Activation & Usage

  • Can I use my eSIM in a country not included in my plan?

No. Your Simfinity eSIM works only in countries and networks included in the selected plan coverage. Before purchase, check that your destination is included. If you travel to a country not included in your plan, the eSIM may not connect or provide data service.
  • Can I use WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Maps and other apps?

Yes. Simfinity eSIM provides mobile data, so you can use apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Maps, Uber, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, email, and web browsers. For calls and messages, use internet-based apps because Simfinity travel eSIM plans are data-only.
  • Do I need to turn on data roaming?

Yes. For most travel eSIMs, data roaming must be turned on for the eSIM to connect to supported local networks. Important: turn on roaming only for your Simfinity eSIM. If you want to avoid charges from your home operator, keep roaming turned off for your primary SIM.
  • How do I check my data balance?

You can check your data balance in your Simfinity account or in the Simfinity app where available. Do not rely only on your phone’s internal data counter, because it may not always match the actual remaining balance in your Simfinity account.
  • How long is my eSIM valid after purchase?

Your eSIM can usually remain unused for up to 12 months after purchase, as long as it has not been activated. The plan validity period usually starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported mobile network.
  • My iPhone shows “Activating”. What should I do?

If your iPhone shows “Activating” before your trip, do not delete the eSIM. This can happen when the eSIM is installed but has not yet connected to a supported network. Once you arrive at a covered destination, turn on the Simfinity eSIM, enable data roaming, and wait a few minutes.
  • Should I turn off roaming on my regular SIM?

Yes, if you want to avoid roaming charges from your home carrier. Use Simfinity eSIM for mobile data and keep data roaming turned off on your regular SIM. You can usually keep your regular SIM active for calls and SMS while using Simfinity eSIM for the internet.
  • What should I do after arriving at my destination?

After you arrive in a covered destination: Turn on your Simfinity eSIM. Select Simfinity eSIM for Mobile Data. Turn on Data Roaming for the Simfinity eSIM. Keep roaming turned off on your regular SIM if you want to avoid charges from your home carrier. Wait a few minutes for the eSIM to connect....
  • When does my Simfinity eSIM plan start?

Your plan usually starts when the eSIM connects to a supported mobile network at your destination. For most travel eSIMs, this happens after you arrive in a covered country, turn on the Simfinity eSIM, select it for mobile data, and enable data roaming.
